{ABOUT ME}

Why did you choose birth work?

Well, first of all, I didn’t choose birth work - it chose me. I was at a crossroads in my life,

not sure of which path to follow. When my sister-in-law introduced me to an experienced doula in the community, I realized I had finally found my calling. At first, I was hesitant about entering the birth world without having gone through childbirth myself. However, this doula saw a spark in me that I never knew existed. Now, years later, birth work has become my life’s vocation and ultimate passion.

Birth is intense. Birth is intimate. But above all, birth is sacred.

The love I have for my Little Lamb families is unlike any other and I am so thankful to each of them for choosing me as their doula or midwife's assistant.

Whether you are birthing in a hospital, birth center, or in the comfort of your home, my goal as a birth worker is to protect the very sacredness of your birth so that you can walk away stronger and more confident in your role as a new mother and new family.

My name is Rachel Wiggins and I am a certified birth doula through Birth Arts International and a Midwife's Assistant. I have been a birth doula since January 2015 and have had the pleasure of serving many beautiful families in that time. I was born and raised in Oklahoma and it has become a passion serving the families of this great state!
A little bit about myself: I love spending my free time with my family (especially my precious nieces and nephew), catching up on my reading, and listening to my favorite musical group, Mumford & Sons, while enjoying a room temp cup of French Press. I'm a Four on the Enneagram and macaroni & cheese is my favorite food of all time.
