{ABOUT ME}

Why did you choose birth work?

Well, birth work sort of found me in a way! I was at a crossroads in my life, not sure of which path to follow. When my sister-in-law introduced me to an experienced doula in the community, I realized I had finally found my calling. At

first, I was hesitant about entering the birth world without having gone through childbirth myself. However, this doula saw a spark in me that I never knew existed. Now, years later, having given birth myself twice now, my vocation as a birth worker has taken on new meaning and I have become more passionate about supporting families than ever before.

The love I have for my Little Lamb families is unlike any other and I am so thankful to each of them for choosing me as their doula or midwife's assistant.

Birth is intense. Birth is intimate. But above all, birth is sacred. Whether you are birthing in a hospital, birth center, or in the comfort of your home, my goal as a birth worker is to protect the very sacredness of your birth so that you can walk away stronger and more confident in your role as a new mother and new family.

My name is Rachel Barb (Wiggins) and I am a certified birth doula through Birth
Arts International and a Midwife's Assistant. I have been a birth worker since
January 2015 and have had the pleasure of serving many beautiful families in that time. I was born & raised in Oklahoma and it has become a passion serving the families of this great state!
A little bit about myself: I am married to the most handsome man and we
welcomed our first born daughter in May of 2022. I love spending my free time with my family, catching up on my reading, and cross stitching while enjoying a
room temp cup of coffee. I am a Four on the Enneagram and macaroni & cheese is definitely my love language.
